Cuttr
Shoot, cut, post.
Cuttr is a camera that lives at a web address. Open it on any phone, take photos and videos, and keep them on the phone until you save them, download them or send them somewhere. No account, and nothing leaves the phone unless you send it.
Open the cameraThree rooms
- Studio: looks for photographs, applied as you shoot and baked into the picture.
- Funroom: face props that follow your face, backdrops that put a sunset or outer space behind you, effects like pixels, thermal and VHS, emoji and word stickers you drag into place, frames, confetti and snow, a photo booth that takes four shots on a countdown and prints a strip, and a boomerang. All of it is in the photo or video you take.
- Reporter: record first, with the date, time and, if you like, your location burned in. A safe copy sends each second of a recording to a server you choose while it records, so what has already left the phone stays safe. Go live, and anyone with your link watches in their browser a second or two behind you.
Install it
On an iPhone, open cuttr.app in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, the browser menu has Install app. Installed, it opens full screen like any camera.
Where things live
Photos and videos stay in Cuttr's library on your phone. From there, Save or share puts them in your Photos app or any app you choose, Download saves a file, and Post sends them to Bluesky from your own account. The library is the browser's storage, so save what matters.
Posting signs you in through Bluesky itself: you approve Cuttr there and come back. No password is typed into Cuttr, and you can sign out from Settings.
The face props and backdrops use a face finder and a person cutter that run on your phone, served from this site; nothing about your face is sent anywhere. They load once, the first time you pick a prop or a backdrop.
Early build. Studio, Funroom, Reporter, the library, saving, installing and posting to Bluesky work.
